The Federation of Japan Amateur Orchestra Corp. (JAO) has, up to now, invited players from our member orchestras abroad to participate in its Japan Amateur Orchestra Festivals.
This year it invited the following players; 2 form Singapore, 2 from South Korea, 2 from Shanghai , 3 from Peking, 1 from Taiwan ,1 form the UK and 10 players from BDLO in Germany..
Here follows the impressions of one of the participants
It’s really an awesome experience with JAO, more than the warm hospitality and cultural tours, the endless party reception and networking allow us to connect with one another in a very special way from all around the world!
Japan as always to me a very special place in my heart, there is so much I had learnt over the years from the Japanese community! I can sum up in this three unique experience about music- Firstly, it was Japanese movies like Nodame and Swing Girls I saw the fun in making music.
Secondly, working in Yamaha music school as a violin teacher I saw the importance of learning music.
However it was only playing in Japanese community orchestras I learnt more exactly what is the passion for music and JAO did the very right think that inspired me a lot!
Thank you JAO and all the continuous effort of the staff and committee of this passionate organization all these 47years!
